Poroshenko said he won the commitment from his Slovak counterpart Andrej Kiska during a meeting with him in Slovakia’s capital Bratislava on Sunday. Poroshenko was there to take part in celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution in the former Czechoslovakia and to attend a meeting of the Visegrad Group of Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The announcement solidifies commitments the Slovak government gave back in September to provide Ukraine with reliable reverse-flow gas supplies.
