The official opening of the Day of Europe is scheduled for noon on May 21. Ukrainian leaders, municipal authorities and the head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, representatives of accredited EU member states' embassies, the press and the public will participate in the event.
Representatives of the European countries will introduce interactive and creative projects of the embassies and national cultural centers, the press service said.
The Day of Europe will offer the "Street Music Day" festival to Kyivans and guests of Kyiv. The interactive installation "The Door to Europe" will be another attraction when advanced video technologies will let everyone get to a place of interest in Europe by "opening the door."

On Sunday, May 22, the celebration of the Day of Europe will continue across the capital. In particular, at 12:00 Kyiv time, a solemn farewell to the national football team participating in the UEFA European Championship 2016 in France will be held on Mykhailivska Square.
