Fireworks set off outside Russian embassy in Kyiv

Some 20 unidentified persons sporting balaklavas directed shots of fireworks at Russian embassy in Kyiv overnight Saturday, causing minor damage to the building, the police report says.

No people were hurt in the incident.

On Sunday, September 18, the Russian diplomats intend to open a polling station at the Russian embassy as the State Duma elections are held this day.

Ukraine's FM Pavlo Klimkin said Ukraine delegation may quit PACE if Russia's elections, also held in the Russian-occupied Crimea, are recognized.
