Land Forces Academy to open in LvivAnother step taken in reforming Ukrainian ArmyThe President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko has confirmed, Land Forces Academy would be opened in Lv³v, and calls politicians not to discuss this question more. He told it journalists in Naguevichi, home village of poet and writer Ivan Franko in Lviv oblast, according to the President’s press-office. “As Commander-in-Chief, I have accepted a proposal by Department of defense to create the proper Land Forces Academy in Lviv”, President said. The Head of State assured, Department of defense was exceptionally responsible for that question, and warned representatives of other power structures to “stop discussion on this question”.
