Baloha accuses Tymoshenko of deliberate destroying coalition

And provoking open conflict with President

President’s Chief of Staff Victor Baloha believes that the land decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers, and “more and more evident collaboration” between the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko and the oppositional Party of Regions indicate that the BYuT leader undertook course towards destroying the parliamentary majority and provoking an open conflict with President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko.

According to the President`s press-office, V.Baloha is confident that the society should be aware of the real motives of the recent steps, undertaken by the government and the BYuT faction in the Verkhovna Rada.

“Bluntly selfish, roughly pragmatic actions of Yulia Tymoshenko’s team are masked with beautiful and exiting statements about unity, democracy, and struggle against corruption”, V.Baloha claims.

However, according to him, “in fact, they create political and business schemes, which should provide a monopoly standing of the BYuT and its leadership at the political arena, in power and economics. They strike shadow deals and conclude secret agreements, which should provide the power and financial authority of this political force. The have brought into play all the arsenal of means, often dubious from the point of view of law and morals”.

According to the President’s Chief of Staff, namely due to the “egoistic position” of BYuT, the idea of a single candidate at the Kyiv Mayor election failed.

According to V.Baloha, “due to unknown reasons, the “white-hearted” are confident that namely they enjoy the biggest support in the capital, and namely their candidate will receive the biggest number of Kyiv residents’ votes. They even did not take into account the contrary opinions of their partners from the democratic camp”. That is why, V.Baloha believes, namely BYuT is guilty for burying the initiative concerning a single democratic candidate.
