Ukraine supports collective approach

At his press availability in Lisbon President Yushchenko stressed that Ukraine supports collective approach towards solving challenges in energy field including forming single European energy market, according to the President`s press-office.

Here he also pointed to great energy-transit potential of Ukraine with broad range of energy transit mains it possesses. “Ukraine’s gas transport infrastructure is an integral part of the European gas market”, - he said, reminding that at Kyiv Energy Summit a concept of forming united transit space for Caspian-Black Sea-Baltic region had been approved.

“By that we wanted to make a contribution into forming united transit policy between producer and consumer countries. These events show that Ukraine’s position in this questions is based on collective approach to solving problems”, - he said.
