Baloha: Tymoshenko promised Putin not to support Ukraine`s joining NATO MAP

President`s Chief of Staff accuses PM of hypocrisy

Ukrainian President’s Chief of Staff Victor Baloha claims that the “rhetoric” of Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko during her foreign visits significantly differs from her statements “for internal use”.

According to the President`s press-office, this was V.Baloha’s comment on results of the recent Yulia Tymoshenko’s visit to Warsaw.

In particular, according to V.Baloha, the recent foreign visits of the Prime Minister have at least two constituent parts that significantly differ from each other: the official, which is solemnly declared at press conferences and in mass media, and the nonpublic, which is thoroughly hidden, but which shows real intents of the incumbent head of government.

According to V.Baloha, Yulia Tymoshenko confirmed to the Polish side her desire to take part in the regular presidential election in Ukraine. To strengthen her statement, V.Baloha noted, she persuaded the Polish leadership of a weak position of the incumbent President at the internal political arena. According to V.Baloha, besides, in order to show the Polish side her influence on the foreign policy of Kyiv, Yulia Tymoshenko claimed that her Cabinet of Ministers will not support Ukraine’s joining NATO Membership Actions Plan, because she promised it to Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin during her recent visit to RF.
