Our Ukraine and United Center parties to unite
At congress on Jan 17
The People’s Union Our Ukraine and United Center parties will carry out a unifying congress on January 17, 2009. The People’s Democratic party may join the move.
An Our Ukraine’s Oblast organization head has disclosed this to UNIAN.
According to the source of the news agency, on Monday, December 22, Victor Yushchenko, President of Ukraine and head of Our Ukraine party, met with representatives of all Oblast party organizations. At the meeting, Victor Yushchenko insisted that the party made a decision to unite with the United Center at the second stage of the party congress (the first stage took place on December 29 - UNIAN).
“So far heads of Oblast organizations took the information into account. There is no decision as yet”, the source said.
