Ukraine should be an integral part of Europe - President Yushchenko

"We do not need alternatives..."

Ukraine should take its rightful place in the united Europe, President Victor Yushchenko said at the XVI Summit of Central and East European Heads of States, according to the President`s press-office. He emphasized that there is no way Ukrainian side would accept any attempts to determine any so-called “spheres of influence” or introducing division lines at the European continent.

The President emphasized: Ukraine feels that it is integral part of a large-scale pan-European unification process, and the internal development of our society fully agrees with the logic of development of unified democratic Europe.

“In our course, aimed at the full return of Ukraine into the united Europe, we do not need alternatives”, - said the President.

At the same time, he stressed, our country is open to equal and frank dialogue with our European partners aimed at achieving the new content of cooperation.

«Today, I am sure, we have a unique opportunity to unite efforts for the great future of our peoples in the common European home”, - said Victor Yushchenko.
