"Today, when the political balance and the stability of Europe have been destroyed, we must seek new means of ensuring our joint security," he said, according to Ukrainian online newspaper Ukrainska Pravda.
"I promise to submit a bill to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to cancel [Ukraine’s] non-aligned status," Poroshenko said.
