The Orthodox Church of Cyprus is going to recognize leader of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epifaniy.

"The time will come when Cyrus Epifaniy will visit Cyprus and take part in a joint service," said Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus, according to cerkvarium.org.

The head of the Church of Cyprus said he had heard the statement of Metropolitan Epifaniy stating the will to establish communion, and responded it was natural. He also said Epifaniy had already visited Cyprus, is well aware of the situation on the ground, and fluent in Greek.
