"She is quite cheerful and confident that she is in the right," Chairman of the Russian Human Rights Council Mikhail Fedotov told journalists.

"As of today, Savchenko’s weight is 60 kilograms. We will say comment nothing more about her state of health at the request of Nadia," the member of the Russian Human Rights Council Elizaveta Glinka said.

According to the members of the council, Savchenko has to wait for the letters that she receives, as they are checked by the Russian investigative authorities.

"Nadia Savchenko is drawing a lot in a jail," they said.

As reported earlier this month, Savchenko said that she would not completely stop her hunger strike until the court closed a case against her or changed the measure of restraint. However, at the last court hearing she was denied in this request.

At the same time, Savchenko said that once a day or every other day she ate some food so as to be able to attend court hearings.
