The Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine concerning the order of transportation of goods in the zone of the Anti-terrorist operation and out of it” (No 2109a), submitted by the President of Ukraine.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, 250 out of 312 lawmakers supported this decision.
The adopted amendments complement the law "On Combating Terrorism" with Article 141 "Procedure for the transportation of goods in the zone of the anti-terrorist operation and out of it."
Persons guilty of violating this order, shall be held liable under the law.
The Code of Administrative Offences was complemented by Article 2043 providing for a penalty for violators of said regulations in a form of a fine ranging from 10 to 100 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens, with confiscation of such goods. The same actions committed by persons, who have been subjected to administrative penalties for such violations within a years’ term, entail imposition of a fine ranging from 100 to 200 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens with confiscation of such goods.
The law will enter into force in 14 days following its publication.
The Cabinet of Ministers within 14 days following the publication of the law must approve the appropriate procedure, bring its regulations into conformity with the law and ensure bringing the acts of ministries and other central executive bodies in accordance with the law.
