Lutsenko signed a respective order on Wednesday, November 30, the PGO press service said.

After respective tests and interviews, the PGO General Inspectorate selection commission recommended that Uvarov whose work experience in law-enforcement agencies exceeds 20 years and who has worked as a lecturer in Law in recent years be appointed as chief of the General Inspectorate, Lutsenko said.

Uvarov's period of probation will last for three months, and should his work be efficient, a five-year contract will be signed with him, Lutsenko said.

Further, the prosecutor general said, the General Inspectorate's staff should be hired by the end of December.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Lutsenko on August 8 signed an order to staff the PGO General Inspectorate.

The General Inspectorate will be secretly checking reports about corrupt prosecutors.
