“The current situation is not the same as it was..."

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko believes it is untimely to hold a snap parliamentary poll.

He said this in an interview with Ukrayina Moloda, Den, and Fakty newspapers.

“The current situation is not the same as it was three months ago, and to speak about a snap poll as about a means of solving the problem is unreasonable”, Victor Yushchenko said.

According to him, it’s necessary to complete the policy of the year 2008, and to form the policy of the year 2009, and not to focus on a snap poll. “It is not a priority any more, and neither the government nor the Verkhovna Rada should be afraid. Instead, all of us should recall that we are Ukrainians and unite for the sake of struggle with foreign and internal challenges”, the President said.
