The Constitutional Court of Ukraine on Wednesday ruled as unconstitutional the October 25 date set by parliament for the next presidential election in Ukraine.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, the Constitutional Court publicized its ruling on Wednesday. The ruling was made on the case, opened on a constitutional submission of the Ukrainian President, who had challenged the October date in the Constitutional Court, saying the election should not take place until early next year.

The CC ruling was read by court head Andriy Stryzhak.
