Court forbade Maydan after first tour of election
Circuit administrative court of Kyiv forbade mass actions at Maydan Nezhalezhnosti from January 9 to February 5.
The Main Department on Internal Policy of Kyiv City State Administration disclosed to UNIAN that the court made this decision because of demand of capital officials to restrict carrying out of actions and measures by parties and public organizations at the central square of the city for the period of presidential election.
Representatives of the department noted that address to the court was drew because applicants were different political parties and all of them planned to bring many people to the center of the city. Particularly, the matter is in city organizations of the Party of Regions, Batkivshchyna party and Svoboda all-Ukrainian union. That is why, in order to avoid “nonstandard situations” the Mayor`s office decided to ask the court about restriction of the actions during the mentioned period.
