Kupriyanov was speaking to journalists as the aid was being loaded, according to the Crimean news agency Krym.Realii, with reference to local news service Novosti Kryma.

"The humanitarian aid has been gathered is being sent to the Donbas with the support of the Crimean authorities and their active participation. In total, we have collected 22 tonnes of food and warm clothes," Kupriyanov said.

According to him, 12.5 tonnes of rice, six tonnes of flour, 2.3 tonnes of tea, 500 kg of sugar, and 300 liters of sunflower oil and 400 kg of warm winter things will be delivered to Donetsk, Luhansk and Stakhanov.

"The humanitarian aid will be sent in a truck with a trailer via the Kerch crossing and Rostov-on-Don," he said.

"We will accompany the goods to the end point with the help of the representatives of the Luhansk People's Republic," Kupriyanov said.

"The cargo will be independently delivered to the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, but not as a part of a humanitarian convoy," he added.
