Over 1.2 million people were forced to leave their home in the past year since the beginning of the Donbas conflict, the United Nations reported on its Twitter page.

"Ukraine: one year after the conflict began, the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) is 1,228,090, including 154,635 children," the tweet reads.

According to the Humanitarian Response Plan of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs as of February 2015, there were 5 million affected people, including about 1.7 million children.

Child casualties since March 2014 have made up 65 children, while 174 children have been wounded.
