The peak of influenza epidemic is recorded in Amvrosiyivka and Starobesheve districts, as well as the towns of Torez, Shakhtarsk, and Khartsyzk in the militant-occupied areas of Donetsk region, according to the report.

More than 540 people in the “DPR"-controlled areas have died of influenza and further complications. The number of lethal cases has been increasing, the ATO HQ reported.

In the period between December 1, 2015, and February 1, 2016, nearly 175,000 people, including 4,000 children, applied for cure to the healthcare facilities, suffering from symptoms of SARS. However, the major cause of a rising death toll is the attitude of the self-proclaimed “DPR” leaders, says the report.
