A biosphere reserve will become one of Ukraine's largest environmental institutions with a total area of 227,000 hectares.

It will be located in the territory of Ivankivskiy and Poliskiy districts of Kyiv region within the exclusion zone and zone of unconditional (obligatory) resettlement after the Chornobyl disaster.
