The perpetrator used IP telephony to receive international phone traffic coming from Russia, bypassing the international switching centers.
Then the specialized software and hardware telecom station was used to disguise communications as local calls and forward them to the networks of the Ukrainian mobile operators.

During a search, the law enforcers seized computers, wireless modems, more than 200 paycards of Ukrainian mobile operators and bank cards of Ukrainian and foreign banks, used to cash the illegally derived proceeds.
