"The withdrawal of heavy weapons and artillery concerns the agreed areas. These are the areas of Mariupol. We are talking about the withdrawal of forces from the village of Shyrokyne, but we keep our unit on the commanding heights in the village of Berdianske. We will not yield to any provocation. The security of Mariupol is now much improved as we have sent there additional units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This also applies to other areas – near the town of Avdiyivka, the Bakhmutka highway, and the town of Schastia," Poroshenko said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that 387 paratroopers had not returned from the combat missions, sacrificing their lives during the fighting with the Russian-terrorist aggressor.
Poroshenko also said that an Order for Courage and Heroism had been awarded to 1,089 paratroopers, while six soldiers deserved the highest state award - the Star of the Hero of Ukraine.
