Russian proxies attack ATO forces 102 times overnight

"On August 21, in the evening and at the end of the day, the situation was tense in the Donbas conflict zone. Illegal armed groups intensified their attacks on ATO forces along the demarcation line. In the afternoon, the hottest situation was in the areas of the militant-controlled city of Donetsk and the Ukrainian-controlled port city of Mariupol, and at the end of the day the occupiers intensified fire near the town of Artemivsk," the report says.

From 19:30 to 20:05 on August 21, the Russian proxies were firing 82mm mortars three times on ATO forces in the town of Zolote. And at about 21:00 Kyiv time, they started firing infantry fighting vehicles and 122mm artillery systems on the same town. In addition, at 19:33 Kyiv time, the mercenaries started firing 120mm mortars, and at 20:46 Kyiv time, they started firing 122mm artillery systems on the Ukrainian armed forces in the town of Popasna.

In Luhansk region, at 20:15 Kyiv time, the Kremlin-backed mercenaries started firing 120mm mortars on the villages of Svitlychne and Novotoshkіvske. And at around midnight, they started firing 152mm artillery systems on a fortified position of the Ukrainian troops in the village of Valuyske.

"In the area of Donetsk, the militants fired 120mm mortars on the village of Pisky in the proximity of the Donetsk airport, as well as the towns of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka evening and night. From 18:00 to midnight, it was rather quiet near Mariupol. The occupiers fired small arms on ATO forces in the village of Novoselivka Druha," the headquarters said.

"From midnight to 06:00 Kyiv time on August 22, the militants continued their provocations mainly with the use of small arms in the direction of Donetsk," the report reads.
