Since last August Black Tulip have brought more than 600 bodies back from the frontline, often straying into territory controlled by Russian-backed militants, land in which the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot set foot, Ukraine Today reported.

Black Tulip hope the identification of bodies can help bring closure for families waiting for news on soldiers missing in action, but this, of course is news which no one wants to hear.

More than 8,000 people have been killed since Russia began its invasion of east Ukraine in spring 2014.

It is believed that at least 2,100 Ukrainian servicemen have been killed although many believe the number is actually much higher. A further 300 members of Ukraine's Armed Forces remaing missing in action.
