In the late hours of Sunday, the militants led aimed fire from small arms and rocket-propelled grenades on Ukrainian positions in the area of Shyrokyne, located not far from Mariupol.

"At night, the militants used small arms and opened unaimed fire at Ukrainian servicemen in Avdiyivka, who have been heroically defending a coal production facility, known as "Butovka mine," according to a statement.

"The militants have opened fire at Ukrainian soldiers four times since the beginning of the day. Only small arms are used by militants north of Horlivka, near the village of Novhorodske," the ATO press center reported.
