Naftogaz CEO Kobolyev Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolyev says the unbundling of the gas transportation system (GTS) will be completed on time. "This week, the new operator of the gas transportation system of Ukraine, LLC Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU), has submitted an application for certification to the NERC [the electricity market regulator]. This is one of the final steps of the unbundling process, after the certification, the operator will be completely ready for independent work," he said on Facebook. Read alsoEuropean Commission comments on Ukraine&#39;s plan of Naftogaz unbundling Kobolyev added that the GTSOU had prepared the documents submitted to the regulator in close cooperation with international experts, the documents fully comply with the requirements of Ukrainian and European legislation. "Given the tight deadlines that remain until January 1, 2020, when the separation of the independent operator of the GTS is due to end, the Naftogaz Group has simultaneously appealed to the NERC and the Energy Community Secretariat with a request for licensing," he said. He added that the GTSOU and Naftogaz were making every effort to complete the unbundling on time and properly.
