Kyivenergo energy generating company, which supplies electricity and heat to households in the Ukrainian capital, posted UAH 138.7 million (US$5.3 million) in net loss in 2017 against UAH 2.6 million ($98,859) in net profit in 2016.

The total accounts receivable for the period under review rose from UAH 7.2 billion ($273.8 million) to UAH 7.8 billion ($296.6 million).
The company's long-term liabilities increased by 3.4 times to UAH 1.782 billion ($67.8 million), while current liabilities grew by 8.8% to UAH 10.682 billion ($406.2 million).
As UNIAN reported earlier, Kyivenergo received UAH 2.58 million in net profit in 2016, while the company reported a net loss of UAH 1.695 billion in 2015.
Kyivenergo generates and supplies thermal and electric energy in the city of Kyiv. It is a part of DTEK's largest private energy holding owned by Ukrainian tycoon Rinat Akhmetov.
