Kyiv ranks 173rd in 2019 Quality of Living City Ranking
Kyiv ranks 173rd out of the 231 cities in the 2019 Quality of Living City Ranking.
Globally, Vienna tops the ranking for the 10th year running, closely followed by Zürich and Vancouver. The Top 10 best cities also include Munich, Auckland, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Geneva, and Basel, according to the ranking provided by Mercer, the leading provider of data on quality of living for employees sent to work abroad.
At the same time, Baghdad ranked 231st as the city with the worst quality of living.
The Top 10 worst cities include Bangui (the Central African Republic), Sana'a (the Yemen Arab Republic), Port-au-Prince (Haiti), Khartoum (Sudan), N'Djamena (Chad), Damascus (Syria), Brazzaville (the Republic of the Congo), Kinshasa (the Democratic Republic of the Congo), and Conakry (Guinea).
The Mercer's Quality of Living report took into account such factors as housing, consumer goods availability, public services and transport, political and social environment, socio-cultural environment, recreation, economic environment, natural environment, school and education, and medical and health considerations.
