The EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee (PAC) states that Kyiv has prospects of becoming a member of the European Union provided it complies with certain principles.

In particular, the PAC stresses that "the Association Agreement does not constitute the final goal in EU-Ukraine relations and welcomes the European aspirations of Ukraine," according to the Final Statement and Recommendations of the PAC meeting held on April 18-19 in Strasbourg.
