Kyiv’s Mystetskyi Arsenal (Art Arsenal) hosts 6th intl Book Arsenal festival.

According to the organizers, the mission of Book Arsenal is to contribute to the development of Ukrainian literature and artistic environment as well as the book market through international exchange and sharing of the best global practices. The focus of the festival is cultural modernization, self-education and popularization of reading.

Book Arsenal considers the book not only as an intellectual product and attribute of modern life style, but also as an area for innovation, so it actively interacts with other creative industries.

In 2016, "Book Arsenal", in addition to a considerable number of the Ukrainian literature, presents an expanded section of the international fair and a Cafe Europe stage. In particular, for the first time, German publishers are exhibited, and a special program in partnership with the Frankfurt Book Fair will be presented with the support of the German Foreign Ministry and the Goethe Institute in Ukraine.

Famous writers, philosophers and artists from more than 10 countries will take part in the fest which is to last until April 24 inclusive.
