Jerusalem pays honors to former Israeli President Peres, Poroshenko visits ceremony
The official farewell ceremony for the Nobel Peace Prize, the president of Israel (2007-2014), Shimon Peres, is held in Jerusalem.
Poroshenko expressed his condolences to the leadership of the State of Israel, relatives of the deceased and the People of Israel "over the big loss of one of the founders of the State of Israel, a prominent Israeli statesman who devoted his entire life to serving his country."
According to the report, the ceremony will be attended by U.S. President Barack Obama and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Turnbull, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, German President Joachim Gauck, French President Francois Hollande, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and other officials.
