EU's decision to lift sanctions against former Ukraine officials Azarov, Stavytskiy comes into force

The decision of the Council of the European Union to lift sanctions against former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Eduard Stavytskiy (also spelled Stavytskyi) came into force on March 6.

In particular, information about Azarov and Stavytskiy has been removed from the list of individuals and legal entities, as well as organizations and authorities, according to the Official Journal of the European Union.

The relevant decision was adopted by the EU Council on March 5.

The document came into force from the date of its publication in the EU Official Journal.
