Deputy Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, Olena Kondratiuk considers the government's decision to introduce the weekend quarantine in Ukraine a "great stupidity."

"I think this is a great stupidity. Because it does not solve the issue either from the point of view of the epidemiological situation, or from the point of view of the healthcare situation," she said at a briefing on Monday, an UNIAN correspondent reports.

According to Kondratiuk, the government should consult with the parliament, the public, scientists and doctors on this issue.
