The Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) for Donbas settlement held a regular meeting via videoconference on Wednesday, October 14.
The participants discussed the ceasefire in Donbas, prisoner exchange, and the opening of new checkpoints, while also noting the slowdown in the TCG work over a number of political issues, the President's Office reported.
Head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission, Yaşar Halit Çevik, noted progress on ceasefire implementation. However, he added that political issues hindering the success of the Security Subgroup's meetings should not be central to its work.
The Ukrainian delegation again raised the issue of forming an expert group under the auspices of the IAEA to monitor storage of radioactive materials in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

However, no information was provided by Russian proxies.
Frisch also noted the readiness of the parties to simultaneously open two new crossing checkpoints in Luhansk region in the first ten days of November, having fulfilled the agreements of the Normandy Four summit in Paris held in December 2019.
He also noted positive shifts in terms of unblocking consultations within the TCG, as well as continued demining efforts at three sites.
