The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 37.2 million patients as of October 11.

As many as 37,215,572 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 10:23 on October 11, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (214,377 people), Brazil (150,198), India (108,334), Mexico (83,642), the United Kingdom (42,850), Italy (36,140), Peru (33,223), Spain (32,929), and France (32,601).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (7,718,946 confirmed cases), India (7,053,806), Brazil (5,082,637), Russia (1,278,245), Colombia (902,747), Argentina (883,882), Spain (861,112), Peru (846,088), and Mexico (814,328).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
