The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 39.7 million patients as of October 18.

As many as 39,745,033 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 15:24 on October 18, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The overall death toll is 1,110,843 people, while 27,336,405 coronavirus patients have already recovered.
