The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 31.6 million patients as of September 23.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (200,814 people), Brazil (138,105), India (90,020), Mexico (74,348), the United Kingdom (41,951), Italy (35,738), and France (31,426).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (6,897,432 confirmed cases), India (5,646,010), Brazil (4,591,364), Russia (1,111,157), Colombia (777,537), Peru (768,895), Mexico (705,263), and Spain (682,267).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
