The Easter Eggs Festival on Kyiv's St. Sophia Square

An open-air art exhibition with 374 Easter eggs, or Pysanky, opened on Kyiv's St. Sophia Square on April 23.

The eggs are 1.5 meters high, they are hand-painted by talented artists from all over Ukraine.

Visitors can also see another 27,000 small Easter eggs, brought from every corner of Ukraine. After the exhibition in Kyiv is over, the large 374 Easter eggs will travel outside Ukraine, namely to Poland, Georgia, and Germany.

The best Pysanka, which will be selected by the jury, will be presented by the organizers to Pope Francis.
