Reenactment of UPA's battle against Wermacht

Ivano-Frankivsk on May 22 held a reenactment of a  battle between the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) and the German Wehrmacht during the liberation struggle of 1940-1050.

On this day, residents of the city marked the Heroes Day. Participants of the March of Glory of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army.

In the city park named after Taras Shevchenko, the activists staged one of the battles of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army against the German Wehrmacht units. Artillery pieces, armored personnel carriers and an antique vehicle were used in the act.
