Rally held at Maidan in support of Crimean Tatar political prisoners

More than 100 people took part in the rally. Organizers held banners reading "Freedom to political prisoners of the Kremlin!" and "Being a Crimean Muslim is not a crime."

A Crimean resident Hennadiy Afanasyev, recently released from a Russian prison, who also attended the event, has called on all the Ukrainians to support political prisoners.

In turn, representatives of the Mejlis noted that persecution of the Crimean Tatars is due to the fact that they had not supported Russia's annexation of Crimea.
