"Warm welcome" for Putin in Finland
On July 1, in the Finnish town of Naantali, the demonstrators set to meet with a rally Russian President Vladimir Putin, who arrived on a visit to Finland. The activists held placards covered with fake blood, with slogans "Putin is an assassin" and flags of Ukraine and Syria.
Several hundred people, originally from Ukraine, Chechnya, Syria and Finland, took on the bridge, which Putin was expected to cross on his way to the residence to hold a meeting with the president of Finland.
The crowd expressed its indignation over the visit of an "aggressor," "occupier," and "murderer."
