Blocking of Ukrainian Parliament's work July 7

Before the evening session of the Verkhovna Rada July 5, MPs from the Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko and Batkivshchyna blocked the parliament's work. The leader of the "radicals" explained the blockade with demands to establish a Parliamentary Commission on utility tariffs.

Then Rada SpeakerAndriy Paruby was forced to adjourn the meeting prematurely. The next day, another meeting was held.

All day on July 6, negotiations between the political forces continued, but they saw no outcome.

On July 7, the Rada managed to start its work but the MPs from the Radical Party sat on the floor around the rostrum and announced a "sit-in."
