Vyshyvanka RUN in Odesa

Some 150 people took part in a race dubbed the Vyshyvanka RUN wearing embroidered clothes. The race was held in the center of the south Ukrainian city of Odesa on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day.

The race started from the Prymorsky Boulevard and the starting line was below a yellow and blue arch installed in the alley, where the Vyshyvanka Festival was taking place.

People of different ages participated in the event and many came with family members. All were dressed in shirts and other clothing in the Ukrainian national style.

The route, which was 3 km long, was along the Prymorsky Boulevard, via the Teschin Bridge. The race ended near the same arch from where it began.
