UAH 4 billion may be accumulated in the energy efficiency fund, planned to be set up in the Cabinet. The government believes that this will allow Ukraine to finance the growth of its own natural gas production and reach full energy independence in four to five years.

UAH 129 billion will be allocated for defense in Ukraine’s state budget for 2017, according to the National Security and Defense Council.
