Exports of Ukrainian wheat may decrease in MY 2020-2021

Exports of Ukrainian wheat in the current marketing year (July 2020 through June 2021) may decrease by 3 million tonnes compared to the previous season, to 17.2 million tonnes.

"[I've] held a weekly meeting with specialized associations – [they] presented the forecast balance of the grain market, which projects wheat exports at 17.2 million tonnes and ending stocks at 1.7 million tonnes in MY 2020-2021," Deputy Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture Taras Vysotskyi said on Facebook late on August 10.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the highest exports of wheat from Ukraine in MY 2019-2020 (July 2019 through June 2020) totaled 20.2 million tonnes.

Ukraine has updated the record for grain exports in MY 2019-2020, having supplied 57.2 million tonnes of grain and legumes, as well as flour onto foreign markets.
