Agriproduction in Jan-Oct down by 14%

Agricultural enterprises reduced production by 18%, and households – by 6.8%.

Agricultural output in Ukraine in January-October 2020 decreased by 14.2% year-on-year, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.

In particular, agricultural enterprises during the reporting period reduced production by 18.1%, and households – by 6.8%, the report reads.

Crop products' output by all agribusiness entities decreased by 16.9% (by enterprises – by 21.2%, by households - by 7.6%).

The State Statistics Service noted that the data provided takes no account of information from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, and part of the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Background:

Agricultural production in Ukraine increased by 1.1% in 2019.

At the same time, agricompanies increased output by 3.3%, while households' production volumes dropped by 2%.
