Ukraine exports 2.33 mln tonnes of grain in July

As of July 24, 2020, Ukrainian agrarians had harvested over 20 million tonnes of new grain.

Ukrainian agrarians exported 2.33 million tonnes of grain from July 1 to July 31, 2020, which was 1.12 million tonnes down year-on-year (y-o-y).

The figures were reported by the agrarian department of Ukraine's Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture.

Exports

In particular, 1.19 million tonnes of wheat was exported, exports of barley totaled 714,000 tonnes, those of maize were 424,000 tonnes, and rye 200 tonnes.

In addition, 17,000 tonnes of flour made of wheat and other types of grain was shipped abroad, which was 8,700 tonnes down (y-o-y).

Forecasts

The ministry predicts the harvest of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine in 2020 may total 68 million tonnes, while the yield of oilseeds is projected at 20 million tonnes.

As of July 24, 2020, Ukrainian agrarians had harvested over 20 million tonnes of new grain.
