Speaking in an interview for the RBC Ukraine media outlet, he said he had offered a pilot project to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, but then it turned out the statistics on the coronavirus in Ukraine were disappointing. So, this issue may be discussed next month.

The ambassador said it was necessary to wait for a decline in the statistics in Ukraine.

According to Lion, another important factor is the number of COVID-19 tests that are conducted in Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said that 12,556 tests were conducted in the country on June 2 alone. Of them, 8,097 were tests with the use of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method and 4,459 with the application of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method.
