State Enterprise Antonov has accused Ukroboronprom, the Ukrainian defense giant of which it is part, of efforts aimed at terminating operations of the aircraft manufacturer.

"We must state that the Ukroboronprom State Concern, of which Antonov has been part since 2015, has been taking steps to put the enterprise to a halt. The Antonov staff have prepared open appeals to the state leadership, asking authorities to take note of the developments around the flagship of Ukraine's aviation industry," Antonov's press service reports.

It is noted that in connection with the aggressive policy pursued by Ukroboronprom in the aviation industry in general and in relation to Antonov SE in particular, professional unions initiated an open press conference with the participation of Antonov's staff members.

As UNIAN reported earlier, CEO of the state-run Ukroboronprom Aivaras Abromavicius has dismissed Oleksandr Donets from the post of President of Ukraine's national aircraft manufacturer Antonov SE.
